Lunch at Thunder Bay Inn. It has warmed up to 30 degrees. The trails to Big Bay were in excellent condition but everyone is happy to be here after our morning 102 mile ride.

On the trails this morning at 8:00 to a chilly15 degrees. 1st stop was at Lakinland where a warm fire was waiting for us. This is in Chocolate twsp and a must see when in the area

Hughie met Serge, Normand, and Yves, in Bruce Mines, and then crossed the ice to Drumond Island, then a ferry ride to the USA. Glad to meet the group.

Hughie’s first day out. He rode from Marathon to the Soo, via Drummond Island. When you ride alone, you certainly don’t want this to happen.

Thanks, to the Marathon Snowmobile club, and two of its volunteers, that had me out and on my way in a couple of hours.
