Happy Birthday Joe

We had a wonderful dinner at the Root Cellar on the East side of Lake Gogebic. We celebrated Joe’s birthday and he said he hopes we can celebrate together for the next 30 years. Everyone looked at each other and figured if we did we would be in wheelchairs instead of snowmobiles.

Copper Harbor to Lake Gogebic
We left Copper Harbor at 8:45 AM with -2 degrees and strong winds. The trails were smooth but visibility was very bad. Everyone made it safely to “Bear’s” Nine Pines Resort where we will be for the next two days.

World Tour – USA Riders

We have 16 people riding the Michigan leg of the World Tour. 3 Women (which are Alpha Chic’s), and 13 men. The average age of our riders is 67and 3/4 years old. 7 ride Ski-Doo’s, 7 ride Yamaha’s, 1 rides a Artic Cat and 1 rides a Polaris. Our oldest rider is 80 and the youngest is 57. We have traveled 9 days and covered 1,110 miles. We have 5 more days before our journey is done.

World Tour – USA Riders

This a layover day for all of us. We all went for a circle ride in the Keweenaw in a very chilly morning. -4 degrees at 10:00 AM and windy. It warmed up to 3 degrees by 2:30 PM.
