Day 12 – Teams heading Home

All,

Today is a travel day for the teams as they head home and back to the normal grind and chores. Check back as additional  stories, pictures and videos will be added in the near future.  Safe Travels!

Day 11 – FINISH LINE!

9:10 P.M. The circle has been completed, all teams have safely arrived at there destination in Searchmont, Ontario Canada after a very hard 240 mile,  13+ hours day on the trail. Congratulations to all the particpants and support team for a successful MichCanSka 2011 Adventure.

12:10 P.M.  – The teams have arrived safely  in Elliot Lake, Ontario for lunch, The chance of rain has diminished greatly, with current temps at 34F, and current temps in Searchmont, Ontario at 39F.

8:00 A.M. The teams left this morning heading back to Searchmont, Ontario. Temps are expected to reach the upper 30’s with a good chance of rain. Trail conditions are expected to be marginal and slushy. This is the last day of the 2011 adventure, if you have not donated to our charity, now is a perfect time! (Click here)

It was getting late and starting to get dark when our leaders, Garry & George made the final decision about our trip into Espanola. 210 miles today and we traveled 12 hours. We have traveled 1,637 miles on this adventure and one more day to go. We are riding for Diabetes and some day hope in some way we have helped to make a cure for the dreaded disease. Duane Kursinsky
He was our crossing guard for the many busy roads we crossed. It saves a lot of time because each person does not have to stop and look for traffic. He is the guy standing at the road with the bright green vest on. Thanks Duane !!!!!!!!

Todays riding was a challenge. Lots of BIG Hills and Power Lines. We encountered many ungroomed trails.
