On the trail this morning at 8:30 with the temp at -7 degrees. The Gaspe is very challenging with the massive mountain ranges. The scenery is hard to explain because you can see for miles and miles. The bridge in the picture crosses the Grande-Riviere.

The farther we go the more snow there is… The sun can be shinning until we crest a mountain and then we can be in a snow storm. Sure hope the owner of this car doesn’t need it any time soon..

Sandy Bliven… She lives in Chaumont, New York and drives a Ski-Doo. Sandy rode on our epic ride from Michigan to Alaska in 2010 and has been on all of the rides since. Sandy was chosen in 2011 as New York Snowmobiler of the Year. Proud to call her our Alpha Chic sister…….

We rode today with the view of the Atlantic Ocean on and off all day…It was cool this morning (3 degrees) and the wind was very strong. The temps warmed up to 14 but the wind stayed strong and it felt much cooler than 14…We rode 149 miles and did not have a gas stop on the trail, 2 people ran out of gas. Extra gas is carried by a few of the riders so we fueled the sleds that had ran out of gas and found a station before anyone else had any problems. Off we went to our motel in Chandler for the night.

Many of our lunch stops are at snowmobile clubs. The clubs all have nice club houses and serve food. We are very grateful to find them right on the trail and don’t have to go into town.
