A great big Thank-you to all the people that run the groomers…..We have had excellent trails in Quebec.

Flowing River

Very strange to find a river not frozen at this time of year. We have crossed many rivers and lakes on our sleds.

Tom Murray….. Tom rides a Ski-Doo and lives in Grand Ledge, Michigan.. He is a charter member of MichCanSka and is always a pleasure to be around. When the group is ready to ride you can count on Tom to be ready.

Day3

Planned Route from Chibougamau, QC to Lobel-sur-Quevillon, QC on Thursday, March 6th,2014

Day 18

As we are getting farther North in Quebec the weather is getting colder. This morning we had a sled that would not start and had to get out the jumper cables and battery. After a few tries it started and we were on our way. The temp is -22 degrees and we have 186 miles to ride today.

We have 38 miles to go and we come upon a snowmobile club house on the trail. Perfect timing because we are all cold and decide a Hot Chocolate would warm us up. It is -6 degrees at 2:30 P.M.

Warming Up

Some are resting…..Some are cleaning…..Some are waiting for Hot Chocolate…All of us are having Fun riding in Quebec

Rick Rice…..Rick drives a Ski-Doo and lives in Manton, Michigan. When asked why he wanted to do such a big ride he replied that he had never been to Quebec and wanted to see it. A high-lite of this trip for him was riding in the mountains.

Day 18

The planned route from Saint-Felicien to Chibougamau, QC on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014

Day 17

10 of us started our day at 7:30 A.M. with the temp at -10 degrees. We have 3 people not feeling well today so they opted to ride in the truck. It is good that we have a chase vehicle so each of us have that option. It warmed up to 3 degrees at lunch time but still felt like -10………182 miles when we arrived in St. Felicien. 2,498 total miles as of today with 5 days yet to ride….
