Seine River near Atikokan

19 degrees when we left the White Otter Motel this morning. The scenery is spectacular and this view of the Seine River was one of the first things we came upon this morning. Please Donate Now!

As you can see this trip is not without risk and dangers. Every day is an extreme adventure to raise diabetes awareness, and to get out the message DRI and ADI needs our help to find a cure! Unfortunately everyone knows someone who is afflicted with this silent killer. These riders are braving the cold and inhospitable frozen wilderness to raise money for this important cause to find a cure, as they or their family members suffer from the disease.  If these folks can give their time, financial support and time away from their daily schedules, could you please show YOUR support by donating just a dollar a day or a total of just twenty dollars to support their ride. Please click on the following web link to show your support. Click to DONATE NOW (You can select your favorite participant, the whole group or somebody you know who has Diabetes to donate on behalf of )

Thanks!

Gas Stop

Our President, Bill Bradfield is very good with figures and he has another to add to his records. His sled will go exactly 148.8 miles until it runs out of gas and this is fact because today he tested it and sure enough he ran out of gas. If his sled would have gone 149 miles he would have made it because he was only 1 block from the station. Thanks to George and his trusty bungee Bill made it to get gas.

We have all arrived safely in Atikokan, Ontario this afternoon after about a 160 mile ride on virgin trails, (groomed with 6 inchs of snow and no tracks) most of the way.  We have reviewed the snow & trail conditions in Northern MN and WI and have decided to ride further north in Ontario and than double back and ride back across Ontario to Wawa. We will be posting more stories, pics and video’s later this evening.
