We went for a circle ride today and came upon the Frederick House River. A beautiful spot hidden from the main trail.

Safely in Hearst, Ontario

Both Groups have safely arrived in Hearst, Ontario. We rode 150 miles from Wawa to Hornepayne, Ontario yesterday and stayed at “Uncles” last night (no internet access, so no post yesterday). We had several Yamaha’s we could not get started this morning with temps at -20F. One ultimately rode in the trailer to Hearst. We are heading to Smooth Rock Falls in the Morning. Plan on posting video later this evening.
Patented a new invention today: “Snowmobile Cover” for a Yamaha made from an electric blanket.
2013 MichCanSka Adventure begins…

January 24th, 2013 – Wawa, Ontario, Canada – All the participants for the 2013 Adventure ride from Wawa, Ontario to La Reine, Quebec have safely arrived in Wawa. 23 snowmobiles, 23 riders and 2 drivers for our Chase vehicles. We have split the riders into 2 groups and will be heading for Hornepayne, Ontario about 10:30 A.M. in the morning.

Chase Vehicle Report

Carl and Betty in effort to find the riders for lunch went into While River to try and locate a wi-fi service.They went into a Esso service station and the owner invited them to his desk and his computer to try to locate where the MichCanSka riders were. Wonderful Canadian corporation. As we proceeded to Dubreuville the old TomTom gave us wrong directions and we were on a road that was not wide enough to turn around. We went 7 miles out in the country and we got rescued by a local who turned us around and led us to where the group was gasing up.

We left Hornepayne this morning and the temperature was much warmer than yesterday (23 degrees). We had wonderful trails except thirty miles from WaWa where we encountered white out conditions. We are spending our last night of the scheduled trip in WaWa. A Great Big Thanks to all our loyal viewers and to all that have donated to Diabetes Research. We completed 2,212 miles today. Pictured is four of the seven Alpha Chics.
