Plan B

The team had to change plans this morning due to lack of snow and drove to Smooth Rock Falls. We had rain during the night and this morning in North Bay so the decision was to go North and ride to Abitibi Canyon and the surrounding areas. The weather has made this a very challenging trip but we have come along way from Maine in 11 days.

Deep River

When we left Deep River Ontario we were met by Simon Lawson, North Renfrew Trail Coordinator. He welcomed us and wished us well on our journey.

Day 10

We rode 148 miles today in fog and 46 degree weather. The trails are breaking up and we finally ran out of snow. We had to call the trailers to come and pick us up.

Of the original 18 riders who planned to participate in this adventure, 16 remain. Serge Charette got injured (no broken bones, just bruised up) on Day 3 and was forced to withdraw and Pete Pattullo had return to Texas on day 9 to fly to Europe on business.
